As a skimmer who loves to read I can appreciate summarized spins which is perfect for short attention spans. What follows is a breakdown of (I really read most of it) Jared Kushner's transcript about his role with the Trump Administration.
1. My Dad-In-Law and my wife Ivanka thought it would be a good idea to debrief myself for y'all .
2. I'm a doer, a spoke in the wheelbase of a dream machine. Fake media hates on me because of my Dad-in-Law but I'm my own Man. Ivanka tells me that all the time. So I'm happy you all would love to hear from me or read my endorsement of Me.
3. Before falling in love with Ivanka, my dream career was to create wealth through business investment collaborations. Btw, My heart was in private industry NOT Public Service. What I'm saying is that, if Ivanka were not my wife, I probably would not be involved with Public Service, ergo Politics at all. (Ew)
4. My Dad-In-Law had an insane idea and goal to become President of the U.S.A. which eventually would require the support of all family members.
5. The more stuff my Dad-In-In-Law won, the more stuff I had to do from stuffing envelopes to talking to Russian diplomatic contacts.
6. Did I mention I had zero campaign experience? But I'm a goal achiever, see, so I pulled up the rolodex and made some calls to get answers from incredibly smart people. Goal accomplished! I wish y'all could've experience this with us. We were amazing in how we pulled off the big Win. It was Bananas!
7. ...Blah, blah... My Dad-In-Law was/is the Best. He won fair and square by fusing old processes with new technologies.
8. When other Countries began to recognize my Dad-In-In-Law's impressive campaign and imminent win, they wanted to schmooze a bit. I became the buffer as my Dad-In-In-Law was way to busy and Ivanka was dealing with the Preggies. I had so many convos. Some cool, many boring. My fav was Henry Kissinger. Hundred of emails were generated on a daily basis. I certainly did not have time to check emails, especially spam.
9. Based on the feedback of the foreign bosses contacts, I told my Dad-In-In-Law about a great opportunity for his campaign and to be heard, (free) by speaking at an event successfully hosted by a foreign publisher who happened to be Russian. The host introduced me to four Ambassadors. One was Russian. I exchanged pleasantries and business cards with all four.
10. When a news service (foreign ) reported there had been two conversations between myself and one of the ambassadors within 3 months of the election, Fake news effect latched on and here I am. I don't recall said convos. And there are no records or proof. When tasked to authenticate a 'Congrats letter' from President Putin after the win, I chose to email the Russian publisher event host for name of Russian ambassador he'd introduced.
11. Another occasion where I didn't recall meeting with a Russian, is when Donald Trump Jr. sent me a email chain to notify me of a time change of a previous agreed agenda-less meeting. I was disappointed to walk in on a discussion with a Russian attorney about adoption bans. I was so shook after 10 minutes of that nonsense I texted MY assistant to call me out of meeting.
12. And the last possible occasion I don't recall any Russian interactions was an email from username "Guccifer400" Extorting 58 bit coins in exchange to NOT publish my Dad-In-In-Law's income tax returns. The Secret Service team persuaded me to ignore email.
13. Fast forward to November 16. The Russian ambassador requested a meeting in which I expressed the new administration's desire to create fresh relations with foreign governments and asked ambassador for recommends of Putin influencers. In December, the Russian ambassador, a Lt. General and I met at our transition office in Trump Towers. At that time the Ambassador shared a concern about the U.S. Syrian policy. He asked if we had a secure line for "Generals" who could not simply come to the U.S. in person to provide valuable information to the new administration. Either I or the Lt. General assured him we did not. Because I felt the Syrian issue was important, I asked the ambassador if perhaps, his Embassy had a back door channel in which they could provide information to the General. They said it was not a possibility so we all agreed to revisit the issue after the Inauguration.
14. A week later the Embassy asked if I could meet with the Ambassador again. I sent my assistant who reported the ambassador's request for me to meet with a Russian banker who had a direct relationship with the President Putin and could provide insight on his views towards the new administration.
15. We met for about 20-25 minutes, he gifted me with some art and a bag of dirt. I gave the gifts to my assistant to register with the transition office. We talked about disappointment with past administration and hope for the new one. That was it. P.s. the omissions on my security clearance form were due to the manic pace of the campaign and ultimately the unexpected win. The omissions were promptly submitted later. God Bless America.
